My very first drawing with a computer tablet!
Done on a friend's computer.
I'm pretty happy with it.

〇hei…??　 かな。
Josh Groban

A two-person drawing. I did the shading and the neck and shirt.

Shintaro

Another two-person drawing.

I drew everything except his facial features.

A drawing of a rose made with colored pencils.

I did it for a friend.

A sculpted seal (I guess) that I made last year.
I'm not exactly sure what kind of stone we used. The stamp is carved on the bottom of the pillar.
It was selected to be exhibited at a museum in a prefecture-wide contest.

A drawing of a kid that I used to teach English to. I started on the head around a year or two ago and then abandoned it, but it's finally complete.
The face is really poorly done, but I guess the rest of it turned out OK. Done with 2B, 4B, 6B pencils and a tortillion.

A scarecrow drawing that I did on a postcard.
Done with a black .4 gel pen and colored pencils.

He turned out better than I expected.

At the request of my brother, a quick pen and ink drawing of Count Dooku from Star Wars.

Another giraffe painting.
His head seems a little too big, but I guess it's OK.
Done in acrylic.

A pen and ink drawing of the art room at my school.
Did it while waiting for my watercolor to dry.

A watercolor drawing that I finished today.

The girl is wearing our junior high school's uniform.

A drawing done at the SFAI.
We had two models in our one-week course.
This guy kept doing the weirdest poses....
But it was very cool.

This drawing got pretty wrinkled and torn, but I managed to fix it up a bit.
Done with charcoal on newsprint.

A display of my artwork that I did at the SFAI.
I'll have to post some close-ups soon.
Done with charcoal on newsprint, pencil, etc.

A quick study in mouths.
I didn't finish some of them, but oh well...
Made with charcoal on regular copy paper.

Buddies

An acrylic painting of some giraffes that we saw last spring.
(Actually, my very first acrylic ever.)

My grandpa really loves giraffes, so I did it for him.
I think I'll make him another better one someday, but for now I guess this will do.

Still life + brick

A past watercolor. It's simple and unimpressive, but I guess it's OK for starts.

Gridding Tutorial

I did this portrait of Matt Le Blanc with the help of this tutorial
'Matt le Blanc' Step by Step demonstration.

A rather old drawing of a tiger.
I did it from a photo in a book for my grandma.
Done with colored pencils on regular drawing paper.

A self-portrait done at the art club. My teacher suggested the slightly odd angle. Done with a 2B pencil on standerd drawing paper.

Another pencil+watercolor sketch that I did at the coast in Oregon last year.

A pencil and watercolor drawing.
Also done a while ago.I guess it looks OK.

I did this one day when I had arrived at club early and had nothing to do.
It was taken from a ad for posters about sugar. The ad was gone the next day, so unfortunately I never got to finish it.
But even at this point I think it still looks a lot her.

Natalie

A girl in my drawing class at the SFAI. She was an incredible artist and had purple hair. The next day it was purple-ish gold.

A human skull.
I made it at the SFAI (san francisco art institute) last summer.
Made with black and white charcoal pencils on brown paper.

An onion. Floating in mid-air.
Done at about the same time as the orange and the bread.
More early stuff.

Okay, this is probably my very first "official sketch".
Half a loaf of bread and an orange.
I would have been... 13?

My dad sitting at his computer. (Or rather, staring at the screen)
An early drawing. I guess it sort of looks like him.
