His head seems a little too big, but I guess it's OK.

This drawing got pretty wrinkled and torn, but I managed to fix it up a bit.

Buddies

An acrylic painting of some giraffes that we saw last spring.
(Actually, my very first acrylic ever.)

My grandpa really loves giraffes, so I did it for him.
I think I'll make him another better one someday, but for now I guess this will do.

A self-portrait done at the art club. My teacher suggested the slightly odd angle. Done with a 2B pencil on standerd drawing paper.

I did this one day when I had arrived at club early and had nothing to do.
It was taken from a ad for posters about sugar. The ad was gone the next day, so unfortunately I never got to finish it.
But even at this point I think it still looks a lot her.

Natalie

A girl in my drawing class at the SFAI. She was an incredible artist and had purple hair. The next day it was purple-ish gold.

I made it at the SFAI (san francisco art institute) last summer.
Made with black and white charcoal pencils on brown paper.

An onion. Floating in mid-air.
Done at about the same time as the orange and the bread.
More early stuff.

Okay, this is probably my very first "official sketch".
Half a loaf of bread and an orange.
I would have been... 13?
